Battery draining faster than expected / Lasting less than a dayUpdated 2 months ago
If your watch battery is not lasting as long as expected, this is often related to usage habits, active features, or background connections. High screen brightness, frequent health monitoring, GPS tracking, and continuous notifications can all shorten battery life.
To maximize performance, review and adjust the recommended settings below in the order provided.
- Lower screen brightness: Swipe down from the main screen and reduce the brightness bar to the lowest comfortable level. High brightness significantly impacts battery life.
- Turn off vibration alerts if not needed: Go to Settings > Sound & Vibration and disable vibration. Vibration uses more power than sound or visual alerts.
- Disable Always-On Display (AOD): Go to Settings > Always-On Display and turn it off. AOD keeps the screen partially active and consumes considerable battery throughout the day.
- Reduce screen-on time: If you changed the default of 5 seconds, go to Settings > Screen On and select 5 seconds or less.
- Turn off Raise to Wake: If the screen activates too frequently when you raise your wrist, disable this feature to prevent unnecessary power usage.
- Limit high-consumption features: Avoid extended use of BT calls or BT music playback unless needed, as these consume more power than standard operations.
